My Chosen Speaker

Crisol Lequigan HUMSS Acad - C, SY '16-'17

A good speaker speaks confidently because being confident is a good way in delivering your message. You will express your speech very well just like the event yesterday - the Grand Rally held in covered court in Sagay National High School. The speaker I chose is the President of the Right Party who is Mr. Ariel Encabo. For me, he is a good speaker because when he speaks he is encouraging people to listen to him. He jokes and he has a good way of convincing people. The audience is really listening to him because he is entertaining and can make the audience listen, and be curious.

Being a speaker you must have a good way of expressing your speech and you must be careful with your words because it might hurt the audience and your voice must be soft to make the audience comfortable and in stage you must be sensitive on your movement in front of others and your body posture because it can effect your speech and it can distract the audience. Mr. Ariel Encabo for me he is a good leader because he said that a good leader is not only a leader in school but also in everything like in their classroom, community and etc. A leader is not only good in front of others. He is also a humble person and a child of God. A good leader must do their obligations because they promise that they will do what they can. If you can be a good leader you can be a good speaker as well.

HOW IS OUR EAPP CLASS SO FAR?

Comments emailed by my ACAD - E students for their English for Academic and Professional Purposes Class. They wrote this last month, right now, I'm no longer so sure if they felt the same way. Hahaha.  HOW IS OUR CLASS IN EAPP GOING SO FAR? So far... Our EAPP class is going well and it's pretty interesting because we're tackling some things that are really in my interest. There's just something in our class that fires me up. Well maybe, it is because my classmates are also showing a great time interacting when our class is going. What made it even more nice and amazing is that, we're going smoothly through the topics which made it even easier for us to cope up with the lesson. For some reason, our teacher is beyond awesome up to the point that we are slowly stepping out of our comfort zones especially when we're doing a reporting. I guess bringing up this K-12 curriculum is not that bad after all. -        REU JEAN BACABAC  For ...

Can heterosexual men and women truly be friends with no hopes or expectations of anything more romantic?

Can heterosexual men and women truly be friends with no hopes or expectations of anything more romantic? by Gladys Seracarpio Introduction:                 Friendship is something that everyone needs. We need friends so that our life will not be boring. We are comfortable when we are with them. No man is an island as they say. But can a girl and a guy be ‘just friends’without any romantic stuffs involved? For me, it’s a No. Body:                 It may sound stereotypical, but men do have sex in mind. Researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology surveyed 308 heterosexual undergrad students between the ages 18 and 30, asking them about their friendships, sexual attractions and experiences with misread social signals.              ...

Luel's Entry on Imagery

Name                   : Luel Jay Pedrano 12 - Athena Content / Lesson : Imagery on Literary Texts Subject                : Creative Writing I was sitting in my uncomfortable armchair in our classroom. It was so hot and irritating. It was the last subject for the day. My ears were so attentive as I was listening to the woman with a girly tone of voice. She was in front of us, standing steadily, and is talking about our class lesson. It's kind of weird that in our other subject I was falling asleep but with hers – it was so interesting. I was staring at her eyes which are of the same color as her eyebrows – dark and attractive. She was not that tall and not that skinny. Her words were so clear to my ears and she was sliding her fingers through her hair – placing it on the back of her ears. She is the type of woman you don’t find easily these days. Her intelligent and fluent pronunciation o...
